Frequently Asked Questions
When can I start using my meal plan?
Your meal plan is active beginning on August 21st. Enjoy a meal and make new friends at Johnson Dining Hall or West Campus!
Where can I use my meal plan?
You can use your meal plan swipes to redeem an all-you-care-to-eat meal at our dining halls, Johnson Dining Hall and West Campus Dining Hall. Dining points can be redeemed at our retail locations: Appell Café, Spart's Den, or Starbucks. Dining points may also be used in Johnson or West Campus Dining Hall in lieu of a meal swipe if you'd like.
What are Dining Points?
Dining Points are a declining balance fund - think of it like a debit card! Each Dining Point = $1 and as you spend them, your balance declines. Purchases are sales tax-free when you spend Dining Points in our retail locations.
How do I add more Dining Points if I run out?
You can add more Dining Points throughout the semester by either visiting the Business Office (located in the Miller Administrative Building) with cash or check, or by logging into your Atrium portal and paying with credit or debit.
Can I order ahead?
Yes! Now introducing the Everyday App at Appell Café and Spart's Den. Place your order ahead of time and skip the line - download Everyday today!
What if I have special dietary needs?
Our trained culinary staff takes seriously all nutritional needs and dietary restrictions for our campus community. We have a variety of options including our Simple Servings station in Johnson Dining Hall - designed specifically for students with food allergies and dietary intolerances. Meals offered at this station are prepared without milk, eggs, wheat, soy, shellfish, peanuts, tree nuts and sesame. Simple Servings also recognizes demand for meal offerings made without gluten. Our dining locations at York College of Pennsylvania offer a variety of plant-based meal options as well for our students seeking vegan and vegetarian options as well.
We have a registered dietitian on staff that can help navigate campus dining with a dietary concern, food allergy or intolerance.

For more information about special dietary accommodations, please visit the York College of Pennsylvania's Office of Student Accessibility Services.
If I don't live in on-campus housing, can I still get a meal plan?
YES! We offer our meal plans to upper-class students living in the residence halls, and commuting students.
How do I know how many meal swipes I have left?
You can look up your account balance on the http://my.ycp.edu site.
What if I run out of meal swipes before the semester is over?
Students can purchase more than one block each term. Just keep in mind that unused swipes do not carry over to the next semester.
